Across the street, my neighbour's Christmas lights are falling off the roof. Also, one of the strands is burnt out. It reminds me that I need to give a bottle of wine to the family for taking their snow blower to the windrow left by the snow plough one morning before Christmas.

DEAD AT 88  cancer
I find this strange, because I've never had a relative die of cancer. Ever. It's always heart diesease or something similar. Oh well.
On an other note, life is good.

I'm doing a crap load of applications right now on top of graduate school. It's full of craptastic-ness, despite being interesting.
The internet is boring. Nothing gets updated, and e-mails do not come. I bought a cook-book instead and I'm almost finished playing through FFVIII.
I want pie.

You know things are beginning to become interesting in the costume design area when the hair piece you're making is reminding you of both a May Pole and the hilt of a katana... o.O
On that note, I'm working at Watson Foods again, and enjoying the mindlessness. I'm making Two costumes (Al'Cid's handmaiden from FFXII, and Yuna's thief costume from FFX-2). I'm also updating two costumes (Yuna from FFX, and the songstress costume from FFX-2). Can you see a theme there?
At AN, I'll be working in the spec-ops, doing who knows what. I'll also (hopefully) be doing a skit with three others in the handmaid costume, and I'm doing the World History of Yaoi panel, the yaoi Round Robin, Harry Potter Slash, Final Fantasy Yaoi, and Yaoi Pictionary (oh look, another theme).
It keeps me distracted from the fact that I'm working with my ex, and waiting to hear from schools...
Tuesday night game is also awesome. ^.^

12:21 pm - Pre-exam/Post-birthday post
So, I don't post on livejournal often, so here's an update on my life:
1) Last week of class. One course under my belt, the in class final of another portion done. Now I just have to finish my paper for my research project, write the lab final for anatomy, and do the final for Principles of Disease on the 14th.
Then I will be finished, and graduated.
2) Interview for med-school went well-ish. Lacking in interview experience, I can't give a definitive answer. I'm hopeful
3) I have a med-school backup plan. Grad work in biomed for neuro stuff. ^.^ It'll be almost as cool is med school.
4) My birthday was last Saturday. I spent the day very not birthday like. I did a med school interview, then went out for lunch with my parents on the way home from London. Then I had a nap, then dinner with my parents, then sat in the dark reading by candle light for an hour, then studied/worked on my papers. Sunday was similar, with the addition of work, minus the interview.
5) FLASH Bash is Saturday. This is when I will be celebrating my birthday. And then my work as FLASH Prez will be over.
Hooray!

12:18 pm - Update!
I never remember to update anything on Livejournal...
What's going on in my life:
1) I'm addicted to the game Knighthood on Facebook. I blame michanna. I have no idea how the game works, but I'm enjoying amassing gold, and building shit...
2) I'm procrastinating, but making headway on my three fact sheets for my nutrition volunteering, and doing crap for my research project. Mainly data analysis for the later. I had to relearn everything for that.
3) Human Anatomy is fun. I finally get to start on my section (sort of). There are three of us doing it, but two seperate presentations. I'm doing the second on my own, but I think we're going to end up working together anyway.
4) Going to a Linkin Park concert tonight. *does a dance* I'm excited. It brings back many childhood memories.
5) I was going to put something else here, but decided against it.

So, life has been interesting lately.
Despite my decision that older men probably aren't the best to date, I can't help but realize how dumb guys my age are... or it could just be the guys my age that I know, and I only know moderately mature older guys...
I'm in search of a job right now. I had an interview today with a chocolate shop. It sounds pretty fun, and it is my hope that the chefs are actually cute, and will feed me chocolate. I've been told optimists live longer.
Interview with Sears tomorrow, and a meeting with a guy in Repro at the OVC, so life is going well.
I'm in class, learning about PCR, and electrophoresis, and western/northern/sourthern blotting, and I'm about ready to tear my hair out. >.< Especially since the notes consist of pictures. Very annoyed right now.

12:55 am - Help me stop myself from tearing my hair out...
So, Christmas is over, but the family stress never ends. My Great-Aunt passed away on Boxing Day, so the funeral is in 12 hours. I was supposed to be one of the pall-bearers, but Aunt Reta's daughter in-law wanted to do it, and I wasn't that close to her, so I don't feel too badly. It just really sucks that it was unexpected. >.<
At home, I managed to wipe my hard drive without losing the ability to use the computer... It kind sucks more than a little.
On another, more cheerful note, I finally picked up a pair of black, knee high boots. After years of searching, I found a pair that I like and actually fits me. They have laces, and a pointy toe. ^.^ They were also about 70$ less than I was planning on spending... though I did turn around and spend all that money on underwear o.O
On another, more random note, I did this test that tells me about my Ennegram Personality. The first part was incredibly accurate, so I felt like sharing.

So, I've written my epidemiology final, and my history final, and submitted the interim report for my research project.
So far so good, I'd say, except for small issues that will slowly cause my brain to explode. If my brain doesn't explode, I'm sure I'll let you know what's up.
On a more possitive note, and managed to throw together the prologue for that fic I promised strayfish back in May. I think now I might work on the second chapter, and do something for that fic with michanna.
No love for the people and things that make my brain explode.

Today has been an extremely crazy day. From 9:00am to 10:00pm there have been startling new developments, insane ideas, new games, unfortunate and unsetting news, important decisions, and certifiably crazy exes.
